A single lab visit is a snapshot. Looking across visits can surface questions worth bringing to a healthcare professional.
Why longitudinal context helps
When the same marker appears on reports from different years, side-by-side history makes it easier to notice what changed — and to ask whether that change matters for you.
What trends are not
Directional language like “increased” or “decreased” describes change between points you confirmed. It does not establish diagnosis, improvement, worsening, or treatment need by itself.
